​2012 - present

 

​I head one of the most vibrant newsrooms in Malawi. Supervising a team of about 40 journalists, i oversee operations for the three sections of the newsroom namely: radio, television and online. I have continued to propel the newsroom for success as the media house has for eight consecutive times been voted the best electronic media house in the country. Under my leadership, the media house has had four such successes. My main responsibilities as Director of News and Current Affairs are to oversee everyday operations of the newsroom, such as coaching journalists and editorial duties. I sit on management and directorate meetings to drive the cause of the newsroom.

 

Editor Radio (Zodiak Broadcasting Station)

​2010 - 2012

 

​Responsible for the one section of the newsroom at that time, as editor responsible for radio editorial decision making for my section was my main duty. I was responsible for deciding the kind of stories to be pursued on a daily basis and coaching journalists. I was also responsible for copy editing and production of news bulletins.

 

Reporter (Zodiak Broadcasting Station)

​2007-2010

 

Upon joining Zodiak Broadcasting Station as a reporter, I was assigned to the business desk where I covered the economy and finance.  I used my  investigative to cover stories for my desk but also topics that i am more passionate about; human rights fot women and children. My duties also included presenting news, reports and current affairs programs.
